I am totally loving Lakme's new 9 to 5 Lipsticks. I hope most of you have already heard
about the Revamped Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks . Lakme has specifically launched some nice new shades for the working
women which I have found to be a good initiative.
These are basically a good choice for Matte lovers and those who love shades which are wearable to the workspace too. Today we'll review the shade named 'Red Chaos'

The Outer Looks:

Lakme has surely listened to what
women want. We wanted a classy looking lipstick that is long wearing and matte.
They have listened and provided us with a classy rose gold glossy packaging
which looks very pretty(I simply adore it!!! ). The Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks
come in a twist up packaging and is packed inside a cardboard carton to
protect it from scratching and outer damage. I've loved the packaging very much
and have not been able to convince my heart to carry these in my purse (for the
fear of getting scratches and damage the casing: P)
The Inner Beauty:

The Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks have a very creamy
formula which needs no tugging or pulling and is very easy to apply. As the Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks are matte, it's best to moisturize your lips and exfoliate it too. I
usually use a homemade lip scrub to exfoliate my lips and apply a generous
coating of either Vaseline/Borolene.

The shade Red Chaos is very classy warm brownish pink shade with a touch of Peach which looks very pretty on a good range of skin tones. I've loved wearing the shade in the day when I don't want to attract attention to my lips. It really is appropriate for the office.
The color stays for long, but not
like what the Brand claims. The shade stays intact for 4-5 hours easily and
fades. The color fades greatly after a meal and does become patchy sometimes .It does not feel heavy on the
lips.
Being matte it is a bit dry but the
dryness can be handled by applying a coat of your favorite lip balm before
application.
I also want to mention that the name for this lipstick is highly inappropriate as the shade is not a red at all and it's not at all chaotic shade. It' a very subtle shade and the name is totally a misfit.
What' Good about Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick: Red Chaos?

What's Not So Good About Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick: Red Chaos?
- May be a bit too drying for some ladies
- Shade may not suit Dusky ladies
- 9 to 5 claim is all but an advertising gimmick
- May accentuate the lip lines as it's matte
- It's not a red and the shade does not suit the name 'Red Chaos'

The Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks are quite popular but particularly this shade is quite natural and will suit the needs of the corporate ladies. There are many N*de shades form this range as well as office appropriate shades like muted pinks, and berry shades. These are matte and will stay for long so you won't need to reapply now and then. The shade Red Chaos is a peachy brown with a tinge of pink which brightens up the face and will look good most. Yes . .Me too thought this was a muted red or something with strong Red in it. But it turned out to be a wearable office shade :P
