Brighten Up For Durga Puja

Hello Beauties,
I know all of you know the importance of "DURGA PUJA" in a Bong's life. .It's like the best time of the Year . .

I hope all you Bengali's are gearing up to set your best foot forward . .  I'm gearing up too . .:)

So, I'll do a series of posts on how to prepare yourself for the Puja Day's as well as Night's  . .
As today is the 31st of August. You can implement these steps from tomorrow . .So Cheers . .!!!

So here I start my Series . .


Stand In Front Of The Mirror . . Examine yourself . .

  • If you want to lose weight then check your weight and measure your present Stats . .Note it in a Notebook . .This way you can check and compare the improvements and change . .
  • It's hard but make out time to go for a walk or jogging . .If you feel bored of a walk, join a dance classes (Preferable Freestyle or Wester:This way will lose weight and learn something new as well)
  • Every Bong knows that the four days of PUJA means heavy and calorie rich foods at every nook and corner . But try to resist them . Go to your nearby PUJA, have bhog . .They will cause less weight gain. 
  • 4/5 days of constant makeup wearing can make your skin dull. So we must prepare it for those days.
  • Examine your skin, and body . .Look for tans and patches and problem areas . .Make a list of what treatments you want to indulge in. I like doing a polishing and anti-tan treatment before puja. Makeing  a note in the Notebook will ensure that you won't forget to make time for these treatments.

  • Eat healthy for the next two months so that you lessen the chance of break outs and eating healthy will also make your skin glow. Try having fruit juices everyday. Try having vegetables everyday . .I make momo's (Veg/Non veg) myself so that I could consume vegetables. 

  • Create a daily routine. And calculate what you eat everyday. Make changes monitoring your body. Measure your stats and check your weight after every 2/3 days to keep a check whether there is any improvement. Change your routine to suit your needs.
  • A glass of warm water with lemon juice works wonders for the body and helps lose weight.

  • Join the gym, interact with others and stay focused about the goal you want to achieve. But don't set an impossible goal like 'I'll lose 10 kg in a week' . .Opt for a target like 2 kg weight loss in ten days . .

  • Go to bed early and don't get stressed out. Sleeping more helps prevent dark eye circles.

    These were all tips to start off your preparations to look great for the days of PUJA.
