Lips are a very essential part of the face . . We do so much to make it look beautiful. We apply color, gloss, lip liner etc. but do we really take care of them?
Lips are three time thinner than our face skin so we need to take care of it everyday.
Exfoliate :
Lips become dry and dead skin form on them . .So we need to exfoliate it . As the skin on the lips is very thin I suggest you use a mixture of olive oil ,honey and sugar granules. . Rub these on the lips and either rub using your index finger or use a mild tooth brush . . After scrubbing wipe off the product with a cotton ball or use a cleanser .
Protect :
Lips tan too and the harmful UV rays affect them too . So save them by using a lip balm as a base for your lipsticks. I prefer ones with UV protection as they act as a sunscreen for my lips.
Moisten :
If you have dry lips keep a Lip balm with you always . . Toss it in your bag and when ever your lips feel dry apply the balm. I feel chapped lips look very unimpressive so if you have severe chapped lips then apply a generous amount of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly on the lips after bathing and before going to bed. Follow this regimen everyday twice for a week and you should see a difference.
Use Matte Lipsticks Sparingly :
I suggest all of those who have normal to dry lips should use Matte Lipsticks sparingly as they tend to aggregate the dryness of the lips. .If you do need to use them always apply a coat of lip balm underneath . So that you can reduce the dryness.
Make Lip-Balm Your Best Friend :
Do you love color on your lips but have chapped or flaky lips . . ? Then try tinted lip balms. A lot of brands produce tinted lip balms and they work dual roles. They give you a slight hint of color on your lips and they also provide moisture to your dry lips. I feel if you want to try Tinted Lip Balm's then try Lotus Herbals Lip Balms, Avon Naturals Lip Balms, Maybelline Lip Balms and Baby Lips series . .These offer a large variety of Lip balms at affordable price.
Remove Makeup :
Most Importantly whenever you apply a lip stick or any lip product do not forget to remove it before going to bed.
