Real Techniques Expert Face Brush Review

Real Techniques is a brand which suddenly everyone raved about some months ago . I was skeptical at first but seeing all the lovely ladies going Gaga over them I thought I should not deprive myself of the opportunity. The problem aroused when I came to know it was unavailable in India and one had to get them through some International site. Even that was OK until I heard they have PayPal (Why!! Why you no take debit cards??) And the people at the customs were demanding quite a bit of money. How I got my hands on them then??? Well read on to know more... .

But, before that, here’s some pictures:

Well, Friends can sometimes make your day and the day .Thank God I had such friends who are so helpful and kind. After a lot of dilemma I chose two brushes and asked my friend to bring them for me.. These brushes come in sets as well as individual.

What ‘Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Expert Face Brush promises:

‘My Expert Face Brush is ultra-Firm and broad for application and blending of Cream or Liquid foundation:

Look pixel perfect even in harsh light

Ultra plush Taklon bristles'

The Pocket Pinch :

The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush will cost you 9$ (Which is fine) . Buying on online sites may also include shipping and Custom charges. The shipping and customs vary.

The Outer Looks:

The packaging is quite simple. The product information and other tips on the back of the plastic carton. The brush however looks beautiful on its own.

The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush feels quite good in the hand. The shape of it is unique and it’s a great boon for makeup fanatics as it has a flat surface so it can be kept standing on the vanity while you’re busy doing makeup. It’s outer casing is done with color coated metal ad it feels quite heavy in hands. The Bristles are ultra-smooth and feel like feather on the skin. Even on the most sensitive skin the brush will go smoothly.

The Inner Qualities:

The application of any kind of liquid and cream foundation is flawless with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I have used drugstore as well as high end products with this brush and the Expert Face Brush is great in its work. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush helps the foundation to spread smoothly and create a very good coverage. The skin does not look caked. The foundation stays on longer and looks more natural than when I apply with my Flat foundation Brush. There are simply no streaky lines or patches. This Real Techniques Expert Face Brush does every bit of what it claims. I’ve also used this as a Blush brush and it does it well too.

How to Care for Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:

The brushes are synthetic and need to be kept clean. They can be cleaned with a brush cleaner or by simply soaking in a mixture of lukewarm water and baby shampoo (mild shampoo) for half an hour and then left to dry naturally. I usually clean them once every week as I tend to use them frequently.

What’s good about Real Technique Expert Face Brush?

  • Attractive design
  • Made from superior quality Taklon bristles
  • Works with Cream foundations, liquid foundations, Cream & powder blushes as well as can be used as a contouring brush
  • Easy to use and store
  • An be kept vertical on the vanity
  • Easy to wash and zero loss of bristles
  • Price is reasonable
  •  Cheaper than Sigma and MAC brushes :)

What’s not so good about Real Technique Expert Face Brush?

  • Availability is a problem if you don’t have Credit Card
  • Huge amounts of Customs on purchase from international sites

Beautiful As Always rates:

4.5/5 to the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Last few Words:

I have been left spellbound by Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and have seen every claim of the brand being fulfilled. The brush when held horizontally with the fingers blends foundation flawlessly, whereas just with a flick you can tilt it to an angle to make it your perfect blush brush.

I would sincerely recommend Real Technique Expert Face Brush to anyone for effortless application of makeup.

  4. nicely reviewed - i've been using elf and bare minerals brushes and was quite happy with them until yesterday when I got hold of my first ever sigma brush and fell in love just by touching the bristles, have you tried Sigma? Is the real techniques brush better or equal in quality? I need to know so that for my next purchase i can decide which one to pic :)

    1. Sigma ones are the best Brushes as far as I know . Real technique ones are great quality with affordable pricing. Sigma ones are costlier . I've used RT expert and stippling brushes and have been delighted with them . . I am yet to try Sigma's eye makeup brushes :)
